Rotary is a worldwide organisation of business and professional men and women who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help to build goodwill and peace in the world.

Rotarians met weekly for fellowship and interesting and informative programs dealing with topics of local and global importance.

Rotarians plan and carry out a remarkable variety of humanitarian, educational and cultural exchange projects that improve people’s lives at both the local and world levels.

The “Circus Quirkus” is one such project used by some Rotary Clubs to help achieve these goals.

The Rotary Club of Christchurch Sunrise has been hosting a Film Festival for 10 years, which has raised and distributed approximately 2 hundred & 67 thousand dollars into the community.

This year the Rotary Club of Christchurch Sunrise is introducing a new event called "Circus Quirkus" which is a non animal Circus spectacular guaranteed to amuse and delight both young and old.

The Beneficiaries for this year:

The beneficiaries of the proceeds raised by the club from hosting this event will include:

• Life Education
• Canteen
• Ronald McDonald House Trust
• Children's Holiday Trust & other Local Community worthy causes
